Fully Automatic Gold Separator

Qingzhou Mingxu Supply Chain drum gold trommel equipment is a hot-selling placer gold washing machine for global mining buyers. Buyers can bulk purchase, customize models and sizes directly from our factory. This Fully Automatic Gold Separator realizes integrated washing, screening and gold separation, featuring high fine gold recovery rate, anti-clogging screen, easy relocation and low energy consumption. Suitable for river alluvial gold, dry land sand gold and tailings reprocessing. We provide full spare parts stock, one-stop after-sales service and fast delivery, ideal equipment for overseas mining investors to purchase gold mining machinery.

For placer gold separation in riverbeds, open-pit deposits, and tailings recovery, Qingzhou Mingxu Supply Chain offers a trailer-mounted trommel gold washing plant. The machine integrates a feed hopper, high-pressure spray system, rotary trommel screen, separation sluice, drive motor, and water circulation pipeline in a single unit.

The Fully Automatic Gold Separator is towable by tractor for site relocation and is intended for alluvial placer gold, rock gold tailings, and gold-bearing silt from river channels. It completes mud removal, screening, and gravity concentration in one continuous operation, making it suitable for small and medium alluvial mining projects.

How It Works

1. Feeding and mud washing: Excavators load gold-bearing gravel into the front hopper. High-pressure spray pipes continuously flush the material, breaking up caked clay and separating larger pebbles in advance.

2. Trommel classification and screening: The motor drives the inclined trommel to rotate at low speed. Spiral flights inside the drum tumble and wash the material repeatedly. Fine gold-laden sediment passes through the screen mesh and falls into the separation sluice below, while large waste stones are discharged automatically from the rear of the rotating drum.

3. Heavy sand concentration and gold separation: Fine gold-bearing material flows into the bottom sluice with the water. Because gold has a high specific gravity, heavy gold particles are trapped on the recovery mats, while lighter silt is washed away. The rough concentrate can then be further processed with a centrifugal concentrator if required.

Process Integration and Equipment Matching

Integrated washing and concentration process. The plant combines high-pressure mud breaking, trommel screening, and sluice gravity concentration into one continuous line. The high-pressure spray system first loosens clay and prepares the material, the trommel screen then separates fine gold-bearing sediment from oversize waste, and the sluice captures heavy gold particles from the screened material. This arrangement avoids transferring material between separate machines, which reduces material loss and keeps the process running without interruption.

Rough and fine separation combination. The sluice on the trommel plant produces a rough gold concentrate. For operations that need a cleaner product or that process very fine gold, the plant can be paired with a centrifugal concentrator. After the rough concentrate is collected from the sluice, it can be fed to the centrifugal unit for further enrichment. This rough-to-fine combination is flexible: small operations may use the trommel alone, while larger or more demanding sites can add the centrifugal stage without changing the basic washing line. The equipment layout and water system can be arranged to accommodate both machines in sequence.

Operating Procedure

1. Site preparation: Position the mobile unit on level ground and secure it with hydraulic outriggers. For fixed models, prepare the concrete foundation.

2. Connection: Connect the water pump and power cable. Check the reducer and transmission chain lubrication.

3. Auxiliary assembly: Attach the front feeder and rear waste conveyor. Install the gold carpet and recovery sluice.

4. No-load test: Start the machine without ore to confirm smooth drum rotation, spray system function, and proper discharge.

5. Production feeding: Load raw ore evenly with a loader or excavator. Adjust water flow and feeding speed to maintain continuous gold washing.

6. Gold collection: Stop the machine every 4–8 hours to remove the gold carpet and collect the concentrate. Clean any blocked screen mesh.

7. Shutdown and maintenance: Stop feeding first, keep the water supply running to flush out remaining ore inside the drum, then cut power and water. Apply anti-rust protection before storage.

Key Features

1. Effective fine gold retention. The extended washing drum and multi-layer grading screen mesh help prevent fine gold particles from being lost during processing.

2. Site mobility. The wheeled model can be towed by a trailer, making it suitable for scattered river channels and dry land mining areas where permanent installation is not practical.

3. Configurable design. Drum diameter, length, screen aperture, and power mode can be adjusted according to project requirements, accommodating both small and large mining operations.

Typical Applications

1. Alluvial gold mining on river channels, riverbanks, and shoals, including mobile gold washing operations along rivers and streams.

2. Mobile mineral separation for scattered open-pit placer gold mines in gobi deserts, dry lands, and terraces.

3. Secondary gold extraction from abandoned mine tailings and rock gold residues.

4. Auxiliary washing equipment for small rock gold crushing lines to process weathered gold-bearing gravel.

Warranty and Support

The complete machine is covered by a 12-month or 1,000-working-hour warranty, whichever occurs first. Wear parts and damage caused by human error are not included in the free warranty. Replacement parts can be supplied; freight and installation labor are the customer's responsibility.

FAQ

Q1: Can the trommel plant handle material with a high clay content?
A1: Yes. The high-pressure spray system is specifically designed to break up caked clay before the material enters the screen. For very sticky clay, additional spray nozzles or a longer washing section can be configured. It is recommended to test a sample of the material before finalizing the drum length and spray pipe arrangement.

Q2: Is the trailer-mounted model stable during operation?
A2: The mobile unit is equipped with hydraulic outriggers that level and support the machine during washing. Once the outriggers are extended and locked, the plant remains stable even on slightly uneven ground. For long-term operation, the outriggers can be supplemented with ground anchors or concrete pads.

Q3: When should a centrifugal concentrator be added to the trommel plant?
A3: If the operation requires a higher-grade gold concentrate, or if the gold particles are very fine and some are escaping the sluice, adding a centrifugal concentrator after the rough sluice is recommended. The centrifugal unit can process the collected rough concentrate or be connected to the sluice tailings for secondary recovery. The choice depends on the particle size and the expected gold recovery target.

Q4: What water flow and pressure are needed?
A4: The water requirement depends on the drum size and material volume. For a standard mid-size unit, a water flow of 60–100 m³/h at a pressure of 0.3–0.5 MPa is typically sufficient. A settling pond or water recycling system is often used to reduce fresh water consumption, especially in dry areas. The exact pump specification should be confirmed with our engineers based on the project location and raw material characteristics.
